Privacy Policy for Lumicent

1. Overview
Lumicent ("the Application") is designed with a Privacy-First, Offline-First architecture. We believe that your data belongs to you. This policy outlines how we handle information and confirms our commitment to data sovereignty.
2. Data Collection and Storage
Local Storage Only: Lumicent is an offline-only application. All trading data, broker credentials, and personal notes are stored locally on the user’s device. We do not have access to your trading accounts, and no personal financial data is ever transmitted online. We do not maintain any cloud databases or remote servers that store your application data.
No Personal Data Harvesting: We do not collect, "phone home," or sell your personal information, browsing history, or trading activity.
Database Architecture: Your data is stored in a local database within the application's protected directory. Deleting the application and its associated data folders will remove all records from your machine.
3. Third-Party Services & Licensing
To provide core functionality, the Application interacts with the following services:
Purchasing: We utilize Stripe for secure payment processing. During the checkout process, Stripe collects essential billing information (such as email and payment details) to facilitate your license. This information is used exclusively for account management and is architecturally isolated from your trading activity. Because Lumicent operates on an offline-first model, your trading logs, strategies, and performance patterns are stored locally and are never transmitted to, or associated with, your billing identity.
Licensing: When you activate your license, the Application sends a one-time request containing your License Key and a Hardware ID (HWID) to verify your subscription. This is used solely to prevent unauthorized software distribution and does not track your usage of the application.
Sync Logic (Optional): If you utilize the "Autosync" features, data is transmitted strictly between your device and your specified endpoints. Lumicent does not intercept or store this data in transit.
4. Technical Security
Code Integrity: The Application utilizes native C++ modules and MSIX code signing to ensure that the version you are running has not been tampered with by third parties.
No Analytics: We do not use "telemetry" or "tracking pixels" (such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel) within the application interface.
5. Transparency
Because the Application operates offline, we cannot "see" your data. Therefore, we cannot provide, move, or delete your data for you—you have total control over your local files.
